In July 2018 another contractor sanded, stained and varnished our semi solid floors (large, high traffic area). Just 12 months later the floors were badly scraped and marked from everyday use. We contacted Paul of Paul Curran Hardwood floors, he agreed to take a look at the job and to try and give us some advice on what to do. Within a few days Paul went out of his way to call to our Skerries home, surveyed the floor and quickly identified the sub-standard top layer varnish that the previous contractor had applied, as the cause of the issue. It would have been easy for Paul to recommend re-doing the entire job, which had cost €7,000 12 months ago, but instead Paul suggested a light sanding to remove the original varnish and the application of two coats of commercial grade Junkers varnish. The job was
completed over two days with no hassle and no mess. We are extremely happy with Paul and his team, the floor is immeasurably better and no sign of any scrapes or marks. His honesty and professionalism are a credit to him and we would have no hesitation recommending Paul and his team.
